Payment and Orders

Our privacy policy was developed as an extension of our commitment to combine the highest-quality products and services with the highest level of integrity in dealing with our clients and partners. The policy is designed to assist you in understanding how we collect, use and safeguard the personal information you provide us and to assist you in making informed decisions when using our site, products, and services. The statement will be continuously assessed against new technologies, business practices and our customer's needs.

Below is a list of questions which are answered by information that can be found in our privacy policy statement.

What happens to my personal, billing and work information when I register?

As a trusted organization, we collect and maintain all information, aside from your credit card information. We ask for and store the business-related information you provide (such as name, e-mail address, organization and discipline, etc.) to assist us in responding to your request. This information is used for business contacts only and is stored on a secured network.
We use this personal information for purposes of administering our business activities, providing customer service and making available other products and services to our customers and prospective customers. Occasionally, we may also use information we collect to notify you about important changes to our website, new services and special offers we think you will find valuable. As a customer, you always are able to notify us of your desire to not receive these offers.

What happens to my credit card information once an order is submitted?

When an order is placed, your credit card information is not retained in our system in anyway. When you enter your credit card information, the data is immediately encrypted, using the latest encryption technologies, and is then electronically passed to our credit card processing partners. Therefore, BORDERSAlertandReady.com officers, directors, employees, agents, third-party content providers, and designers are not responsible for any fraudulent activity that happens on your card. When an order is placed, the credit card is first approved; this simply means that the credit card company has allocated the indicated funds for us, and the customer is not yet charged with the purchased amount. For your security, during the order process, we also electronically match your billing address with the address on the credit card company files. If the address does not match, the order is automatically rejected. In such cases, customers are directed to re-correct and/or add the required information on the enroll page. This procedure is an important step in the order process that protects you from fraudulent usage of your credit card by any unauthorized person. Therefore, to avoid delays, the customers are requested to ensure that the billing address matches with the address on the credit card company records.
Once your card has been approved and the card holder's identity is verified with the information you entered, our site is notified and you are allowed to access your purchases. Therfor, by submitting the required credit card information to us, you hereby agree that you authorize us to charge your credit card for the allotted amount.
It may be interesting to note, that it is safer to perform credit card transactions online at a secure site like ours than it is to perform a credit card transaction at a store or restaurant, by mail or by phone. When you purchase at a store, a human has access to your credit card number. When you purchase online with us, no human ever sees your credit card number.

What credit cards do you currently accept?

Currently we accept Visa, Master Card, and Discover.

What is your policy on shipping?

Because all of the products we offer are for direct online use, shipping is not needed.
