Awarding Credit
- Continuing Education
- Continuing education credit hours are awarded for successful completion of on-site events and on-line lessons. The number of credit hours earned is identified on a certificate awarded at the completion of the on-site event and on-line lessons. The number of continuing education credits is determined by each discipline's accreditation organization.
Cancellation and Refund Policy
- On-line Lessons
- Refunds are provided to individuals who submit a request using the Contact Us form, email, or the telephone and have not begun an on-line lesson. Individuals who begin an on-line lesson do not qualify. BORDERS processes valid requests and a debit is made to your credit card.
- On-site Events
- Refunds are provided to individuals who submit a request using the Contact Us form, email, or the telephone up to 15 days in advance of the on-site event start date. Individuals who request a refund within 15 days prior to the on-site event start date do not qualify. BORDERS processes valid requests and a debit is made to your credit card.
Disclaimers and Limitations of Liability
By using the BORDERS website, you expressly agree that use of the BORDERS website is at your sole risk. The BORDERS website is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. BORDERS officers, directors, employees, agents, third-party content providers, designers, contractors, distributors, merchants, sponsors, licensors or the like (collectively, "Associates") warrant that use of the BORDERS website will be uninterrupted or error-free.
Under no circumstances shall BORDERS or its Associates be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages resulting from your use of or inability to use the BORDERS website, including but not limited to reliance by you on any information obtained from the BORDERS website that results in mistakes, omissions, interruptions, deletion or corruption of files, viruses, delays in operation or transmission, or any failure of performance. Intended for Users
The BORDERS website and training offerings are intended for healthcare professional and student use only. The BORDERS website is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. If you are under 13 years of age, get the permission or assistance of a parent or guardian to use this website.
Enrollment Payment
The BORDERS website uses Secure Sockets Layering (SSL) to encrypt your personal credit information, including your credit card number, before it travels over the Internet. SSL technology is the industry standard for secure online transactions. Because we use SSL, placing an order on-line on the BORDERS website is as safe as giving your credit card number over the phone. We recommend that you keep your password private and always logout of your account and close your browser when you are finished using the website.
Enrollment Validation
After you enroll in a training offering, we validate your information by verifying your method of payment or billing address. We reserve the right to reject any enrollment and/or to limit quantities on any enrollment, without giving any reason. Your credit or debit card will normally not be charged if we reject an enrollment, but we will process a refund if a charge has been made against your card.
Enrollment Acceptance and Confirmation
You receive an email confirmation after enrolling in a training offering. Your receipt of an electronic or other form of enrollment confirmation does not signify our acceptance of your enrollment. The BORDERS website reserves the right at any time after receipt of your enrollment to accept or decline your enrollment for any reason.
Termination of Use
BORDERS may, at its sole discretion, terminate your account or your use of the BORDERS website at anytime. BORDERS reserves the right to change, suspend, or discontinue all or any aspect of the BORDERS website at any time without prior notice.
